TRADING

After scaling the wallet, in the long run, you may encounter some issues. The first issue would be other wallets copying the same wallet as you. If you observe higher PNL differences between you and your target wallet, you may want to check for competitors. Simply navigate to GMGN or Photon, enter the CA of the token you want to check, and review the list of trades. Open in new tabs all wallets between your buy and the target wallet's buy to check if the same tokens are traded on one of the wallets and if timestamps are the same. To maintain a competitive edge, evaluate your competitors' priority fees and the tips they provide via platforms like JITO, NextBlock, Bloxroute, or Temporal. Use slightly higher tips than theirs, and monitor your speed relative to theirs to ensure you remain ahead.

Another issue you may encounter is farming. If the wallets you are copying realize they are being copied by others, they may start farming to profit from you. Some wallets farm aggressively, while others farm slowly to profit without deterring copiers. Here are some possible farming scenarios:

  1. Trade low liquidity tokens (dead tokens), you can counter this by using filters (marketcap and liquidity) from copytrading bots.

  2. Trade with much higher buy amount as usual, this can also be avoided if you set the buy amount filter in the copytrading bots.

  3. This is a smarter way to farm. Essentially, your target wallet will create a new wallet and first buy the tokens with the highest balance in that wallet. Then, it will buy 1-2 times from the wallet you are currently copying. After you've made your entry, it will first dump the coins from the initial wallet used for purchasing. This farming method is harder to detect and avoid, but you can do the following: If your bot has the "buy only if token is not in wallet/buy holding tokens" option, set the secondary wallet of your target to copy with very small balances. Then enable the "buy only if the token is not in wallet" feature. By doing this, you will purchase a very small amount of the token and then skip the normal-sized buy.

Also, we recommend tracking average block delay to be able to know if at some point you are losing/making less money because of delays or there is another reason. You can find the block of transaction on solscan. For this purpose, you can use the following sheet:
